A mild tea using herbs that have traditionally been used to help treat Irritable Bowel Syndrome. With herbs high in vitamins (K) and minerals, herbs to regulate intestinal muscle function, to build proper intestinal flora, calm digestive upsets, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory.

Ingredients: Alfalfa Leaf, Burdock Root, Liquorice Root, Red Clover, Lemon Balm, Skullcap, Peppermint, Chamomile.

Caution: Don’t use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult health care practitioner if you have a heart condition or are on blood thinners.

Alfalfa Leaf: Traditionally has been used to alkalise and detoxify the blood, support the digestive system and reduce water retention. It is also indicated for its high nutrient levels, lowering cholesterol, balance hormones, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. It has also been used to help reduce blood sugar levels.

Burdock Root: Traditionally has been used to detox heavy metals in the blood and purify the blood, improve circulation, improve lymphatic drainage and detoxification, and works to rid the body of excess fluid. It is also indicated to heal the skin such as eczema, psoriasis, improve digestion, lower blood sugar and is anti-inflammatory. It has also been used to clean and protect the liver.

Liquorice Root: Traditionally Liquorice root has been used in the treatment of adrenal fatigue and cortisol imbalance, stress, digestive discomfort and depression. It is also indicated in the treatment of gastritis, liver support, eliminating mucous, PMS, cramps, mood swings and bloating, nervousness and increasing memory. It has also traditionally been used as an immune booster for colds, coughs, flu, is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and Lyme disease. It is indicated to help detox the liver, heal intestines and reduce constipation, as well as regulate ovulation and increase fertility.

Red Clover: Traditionally has been used as a blood purifier, to reduce spasms, improve digestion and relieve congestion and inflammation in the lungs.

Lemon Balm: Traditionally Lemon Balm has been used to help reduce stress, promote relaxation and calm the nervous system. It has been indicated to help reduce anxiety, depression and promote a restful sleep. It has also been used to calm the digestive system, reduce PMS, mood swings and headaches, as well as improve memory and concentration. It may help with irritability and restlessness.

Skullcap: Traditionally has been used to help treat nervous tension, reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality and reduce insomnia. It is also indicated in reducing stress levels, relieve muscle spasms, lower cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and reduce inflammation. It has been used as a general mood balancer, to release endorphins, increase antioxidant activity of the liver, boost liver function and balance hormones.

Peppermint: Traditionally has been used to treat digestive complaints, including IBD, IBS, gas and bloating, cramps and intestinal spasms. It is also indicated for relaxing the body and mind, helping to reduce anxiety and headaches. May also help reduce inflammation and aid in weight loss.

Chamomile: Traditionally has been used to help treat insomnia, anxiety, depression, reducing digestive distress, relaxing the nervous system. It is also anti-bacterial. It is indicated in reducing inflammation, and treating skin conditions, headaches, colitis and regulating blood sugar.
